Eating Our Own: a how to manual by Representative James Knox

Watch out Michele. Don't get too close, he may think you are a..... BLOGGER!!

Let me tell you a little about my crazy day today.  This morning, I received an email stating that someone had attempted to change the password of my wordpress account.  A few moments later, I tried to log in to Facebook and was informed that my account had been locked due to a high number of unsuccessful log in attempts.  I posted as much in my Facebook status and received a message from a blogger stating that she thought she knew who was responsible.  She sent me the following screenshot.

James Knox happens to represent Montana’s HD 47, a freshman legislator.  He and I are typically friendly- my daughter and I even dined with his family on Thanksgiving Day.  He and I do not see eye to eye on the issue of repealing Montana’s medical cannabis law however and we’ve had numerous phone and Facebook conversations about the issue.  In November, he called to ask if I knew two Facebook friends of his- Commissar Montanafesto and Nicholas Pitman.  I replied that I knew neither of them but I did assume that Nicholas was Denis Pitman’s son.  Knox replied that Denis had no son named Nicolas and that was that.

A few days ago, he called to express his frustration about several of his bills- he was concerned that they were being killed by “RINOs” in house leadership” and asked that I beat up on them a bit.  I was confused and I hesitated before asking which RINOs in particular he was referring to.   He listed a few legislators and I asked what he wanted me to do with the information.  He simply told me to beat up on them a bit if I was looking for material. I assumed he was referring to me doing so via Facebook as I have a loyal group of politically active friends across the nation.  I am tired of beating up on Montana politicians and have recently been posting juicy links about how to marinate cats prior to feasting upon them and the ugly side of Coprophagia.

After seeing the screenshot from the blogger, I sent the following message to Knox.

Nicole French February 19 at 2:32pm
I’m not Montana Festo. You’ve asked me about it before and I told you I am not. One of my best friends in the world is LDS and I have nothing against them. In addition to that, my roommate works at Rimrock and I would never jeopardize his position or his sales- he is paid based on what he sells, I send him as many customers as possible. Rimrock has a bunch of ex-employees that have grievances with the company, I have on many occasions defended the owners of Rimrock and will continue to do so. Do I like how they run their business? Absolutely not. But that is the car business too and I’ve been in that business for years. Maybe you were referring to another Nicole but Tana sent me a screenshot of your comment. I don’t appreciate it if you were referring to me. I do have a blog but I don’t make it public. It isn’t even searchable by google, it is completely private. This may come as a big surprise to you guys in Helena, but I’m not the only conservative out there who is livid about the medical cannabis issue. In fact, nearly every caregiver, cultivator and activist I’ve spoken to is a lifelong Republican. Tana and I don’t even agree on how the medical cannabis industry should be reformed. She’d like to see it remain as is, I believe it absolutely requires reform. Then again, I’m in the industry and she is not.

The message went unanswered.
A short time later, I received this email from someone named Life Saver.   Here is a screenshot of the email.

Proper etiquette for a legislator?

I posted a screenshot on Facebook with a link to Knox’s Facebook account.  His only response was the cowardly kind…. he promptly deleted and blocked me.  Some leader we have representing us.  And to think I have defended his sorry ass in the past.  He took my PERSONAL information, my CELL phone number, email address, Facebook account and someone else’s Facebook account and told a number of people to harass me.  That is absolutely shameful.

Anyone remember Rosanna de la Cruz?  Knox’s amateur sleuthing skills produced her name as the true identity of Montana Cowgirl.  Problem was, she really isn’t Montana Cowgirl.  Looks like Knox is running 0 for 2.  I can’t say that he is responsible for the attempt to hack into my wordpress account, not this one, but the one I use to access the Yellowstone Young Republicans blog, nor can I blame him for my Facebook log in issues.  All I can say is that he does own a computer company, it has never happened to me before, and that it is strangely coincidental.  Whether James attempted to hack into my accounts or one of his minions, perhaps Cherrie Brady, the recipient of the lovely email, one thing is for sure, the behavior is unwelcome.  Neither of you have heard the last of me.  I will hold you accountable for the lies you are spreading.

Wow…. how lame does is this guy?

Man, this guy just doesn’t quit does he? He has proven to me that he is indeed a schizoid. All of this information about him lately is building up. Has he been getting more press and blogs about him than most?

Honestly, I don’t know. He did apologize to me, but he also is falsely claiming that I admitted I was the montana festo blogger. I am not. I’m not sure if he misunderstood something I said or what, but I wouldn’t ever claim that. The situation is messed up for sure.

It sounds like you were cordial with him at first but I hate to say it, this is ongoing with him. I spoke with a business owner who use to use him but now no longer does. He said that James Knox is very reactive on anything or anyone who appears to not be on his side. He also said that James will pull all stops to defend himself or his business when he clearly has been caught with his pants down. This goes along with some billing issues he had with KBS Computers. It sounds pretty consistent with all of the banter about him in the Billings Gazette article a few weeks back. He simply sounds very shady and a lot of his bills seem to benefit him as a business owner with no regard to anyone else. I am sorry you had to go through this with him but maybe another set of eyes to see the real James Knox.

I’ve been cordial with him through the entire ordeal. He has apologized to me but he also mentioned that it takes two and he cannot speak for me. I’m not sure what that means, but he is certain I admitted to him that I am the true identity of an anonymous blogger. It is too much for some Republicans to admit that there are more conservatives out there who are angry that the GOP wants to overturn the will of the people. There are plenty of citizen passed initiatives that I don’t like but I don’t suggest that the legislature overturn them. If the citizens see fit, they will put it on the ballot. I don’t believe the legislature should tell them they are stupid….. and I’m not alone. There are MANY MANY conservatives who feel this way.

As a former employee of James’ yes, I would believe that he would stoop so low. I was there when he justified buying $500 worth of security tags for his wooden political signs. He is worried more about what others say about him and what crazy ideas he has than the people he represents or his employees. Why would you spend money like that and not pay your bills, or your employees for that matter?? James is unethical in every way, both politically and in business.
